Tutorial Proposals

The 10th anniversary of the World Forum on the Internet of Things (WF-IoT2024) marks a significant milestone for this distinguished IEEE IoT conference and gathering. Recognized as a premier event in the IoT landscape, WF-IoT serves as a vital platform for both academic and industry professionals passionate about Internet of Things (IoT) advancements.

WF-IoT seeks submissions and proposals for original technical papers and presentations that address the Internet of Things (IoT), its theoretical and technological building blocks, the applications that drive the growth and evolution of IoT, operational considerations, experimentation, experiences from deployments, and the impacts of IoT on consumers, the research community, the public sector, as well as commercial and industrial sectors. This anniversary edition promises to uphold the tradition of fostering collaboration, knowledge.

IEEE World Forum on the Internet of Things (WF-IoT 2024) solicits proposals for tutorials that complement the main programme in new and emerging topics within the scope of the conference. Preference will be given to tutorials that address an aspect of the theme of the conference:

Tutorial proposals should be prepared including information about the Tutorial Presenters as well as co-Presenters and content of the tutorial. The deadline for Tutorial Proposals is July 15, 2024.

The information about (co-)Presenters consists of: (1) Name and Salutation; (2) Affiliation; (3) Location; (4) Contact Information; (5) IEEE and/or ORCID numbers, if Presenter has one; (6) a high resolution headshot photograph; (7) a short biography (up to 250 words).

Additional required information includes: (1) tutorial title; (2) a short abstract that describes the content of the tutorial; (3) Keywords that describe the topic(s) covered by the tutorial; (4) narrative description of the tutorial in pdf format. The narrative should be limited to four (4) pages, including:

  • Title of the Tutorial
  • Abstract (up to 250 words)
  • Description of the Tutorial Proposal
  • Objectives and Motivation
  • Novelty, highlighting the technical innovations presented in the Tutorial
  • Tutorial content, indicating the topics that the tutorial will cover in detail
  • Tentative timeline schedule
  • Tutorial duration: 2 hours (1 session) or 4 hours (2 sessions)
  • Intended audience
  • Prior history of the Tutorial presentations and number off past attendees, if possible/known
